It was supposed to be a simple wordrpess upgrade. It was supposed to take just a few minutes…

I tried doing this last night but something broke and then everything broke. I had to install my backup which didn’t end up finishing until after I had left for work. Then I had to fix a broken line in the coding for the shopping cart so you could actually check out after I got home.

Skip to today when I try to start over and then I couldn’t get into the admin. Cleared cookies and all that and finally got in. I, then, decided “why not upgrade the shopping cart software?” That actually worked out fine. Then I decided to install some plugins so I don’t have to do this again and accidentally deleted the shopping cart. But I fixed that.

Jeeze.

So, there was a problem with the site for a while and I never knew about it until about two days ago. When you tried to checkout there was some error with paypal saying to “return to merchant” and something about the address.

It’s fixed now, so order away!

Time to shower and go to Michaels to buy some random craft supplies for someone’s nerdy project.

I’ve been meaning to post this for a couple days now but something just keeps getting in the way.

There is now an option at checkout for you to use a coupon code. There are currently two floating around out there but I plan on getting some more soon.  For now, if you’re interested in saving 15% on your order you can use either indie-threads or emptees at checkout.

I’d also like to mention that Blades of Glory isn’t that good.

Well, since I don’t have any more new shirts coming out at the moment, I figured that I should update the blog about something. This is what I’m taking to the post office in a little bit. It’s about 10 or so orders that have mostly needed to go out since last week. Sorry about that.

Other than that, things are going pretty good. It would be better if orders picked up a little more, but I’ll take what I’m getting - which is better than it was, I might add.

It’s finally here! The Raptors Shirt! It’s about time, isn’t it?

After almost a year, this design idea is finally on a t-shirt. I printed them up today because the stupid UPS guy didn’t show up yesterday until 7:00 p.m. …stupid UPS guy…

The second ever three color print I’ve ever done and it came out pretty good. It’s the first time I had to mix colors to get pink on a t-shirt and that came out pretty good too. A little more salmon than I was picturing it, but it looks good on the shirt. Awesome.

This is the final new shirt probably of this year, so I’m going to call it Quixotic’s Fall/Winter Lineup. Enjoy it.

Yesterday I printed up the first batch of the Mammal Shirt. I would have posted this yesterday but I didn’t end up getting home until about midnight and then I watched Mallrats. So, you can see how it just wasn’t possible, right?

The printing ended up going really well. This is the first three color print I’ve ever done and I’m really happy with the results. The first couple of test prints were a little off but after some slight adjustments, everything lined up perfectly. Beautiful.

As for the BSLR shirt - it’s coming. Next week. I’ve had some problems getting all of my shirts but as far as I know, they are finally on their way to me and should be here by the end of this week. I hope.

Well, after a long day of screen making and screen printing, Herbivorous Rex is now available. It’s very limited right now, so get it while you can.

Also, today while I was developing the screens I found some of my old t-shirts from Heart on Sleeve that I never sold. I wasn’t sure if I’d find any, but there was at least this one old Herbivorous Rex shirt. It’s kind of weird how I didn’t really remember it looking like that. I remembered the shirt color, the ink color, and the font, but I didn’t remember the dino looking quite like that. I remembered him being one solid color, not an outline. …weird.

Anyway, I’m really happy with the way the new shirts came out. I wasn’t sure how much the green was going to pop out on a dark shirt, but with the white underbase it’s really good looking. Overall, it was a pretty good day.

The other two new shirts should be available next week.

I’m not sure why I didn’t check right away, but I was just checking the sizes of the blanks we got a few days ago and I noticed that the packingslip says that they sent our XL Mint shirts (BSLR) and they aren’t there. So, I’ve contacted American Apparel and I’m waiting for a response. Let’s hope I don’t get screwed over here.
